On the 25th of October 2017, the society of the Junge Juristen Karlsruhe e.V. invited interested parties to the “Long night of IT-Law”, in cooperation with the Centre of Applied Law of the KIT, the Fraunhofer IOSB and the projects KASTEL, Avare and secUnity.
The speakers on the topic “Smart environment – smart decision?” were Dr. Stefan Brink, Commissioner for Data Security and Privacy of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, and Martin Schallbruch, assistant secretary of state (retired) and Deputy Director if the Digital Society Institute at the ESMT Berlin. They presented the current problems of data security, privacy and IT-Law for new IT-developments such as wearables and autonomous systems, especially in the automotive world, and their implications for the future.
After the discussion, the projects used the following reception to present their current research to the interested parties. About one hundred people attended the event.
